Earlier this month, we had the opportunity to be part of the India–Philippines Defence Seminar held in Manila on 2–3 March. Facilitated by the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, and FICCI, the event brought together key stakeholders from both nations to strengthen ties and explore new avenues of collaboration.

A Shared Vision for Defence Collaboration
The seminar saw participation from 30 leading Indian defence companies, reflecting the growing momentum in India–Philippines defence cooperation. UCAM was proud to be among the companies contributing to this collective industry presence, one that emphasizes capability building, innovation, and long-term partnerships.

Conversations that Truly Matter
What stood out most were the meaningful conversations throughout the event. Industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders came together to exchange perspectives, identify opportunities, and discuss practical areas of collaboration.

Key focus areas included:

  • Maritime security
  • Coastal defence
  • Capacity building
  • Defence industrial collaboration

These discussions highlighted not just current capabilities, but also the immense potential for future cooperation between the two countries.

Representing UCAM on a Global Stage
Representing UCAM at the seminar, Uday Dev, Business Head at Nimble Electric, showcased our products and capabilities while engaging with key stakeholders from the Philippines. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, understand evolving requirements, and explore how we can contribute to this growing ecosystem.

Moving Forward
At UCAM, we believe that progress in defence manufacturing is built on collaboration, trust, and shared goals. Being part of platforms like this allows us to contribute, even in small ways, to India’s expanding role in the global defence landscape.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and playing our part in strengthening partnerships that drive innovation and growth.
